Following Resolution 60-NQ/TW, issued on April 12th by the 11th Central Conference (13th tenure) regarding the merger of Hải Dương province and Hải Phòng City, the new administrative center will be located in Hải Phòng. Hải Phòng city leaders have made specific provisions to assist officials transferring from Hải Dương.
New administrative center in Hải Phòng
To ensure stable housing for Hải Dương civil servants, officials, and workers after relocating to the new administrative center, the Hải Phòng City People’s Committee Chair has outlined specific measures.
The city’s leadership has tasked Thái – Holding Company with allocating a block (over 400 apartments) in the Social Housing Project at Tổng kho 3 Lạc Viên (142 Lê Lai, Máy Chai and Cầu Tre wards, Ngô Quyền District) for Hải Dương officials to rent for 2-3 years. After this period, the developer will sell the social housing units as per regulations.
Simultaneously, the city has asked CRV Real Estate Group to expedite construction of 33-story mixed-use apartment buildings on plots HH1 to HH4 along the extended Đỗ Mười road, starting May 13th. These projects are slated for completion by May 13th, with priority given to officials relocating from Hải Dương.
The Hải Phòng Department of Construction has been tasked with guiding and overseeing the two companies’ progress, aligning with the outlined schedule and requirements. They will also collaborate with the Hải Dương Department of Construction to assess demand, engage with investors, and report back to the Hải Phòng People’s Committee.
City officials maintain that these policies are designed to ensure the well-being and working conditions of the transferred officials following the official merger.
