The “Heartful Journey” program is an initiative by the Youth Union and Social Work Department at Ninh Binh General Hospital. Its primary goal is to provide a safe and meaningful journey, allowing patients to spend Tet with their families in a warm atmosphere.
Specifically, six trips were organized to transport patients and their families to various remote locations within Ninh Binh province, including:
- 2 trips to Yen Khanh and Kim Son districts.
- 2 trips to Gia Vien and Nho Quan districts.
- 1 trip to Yen Mo district.
- 1 trip to Tam Diep city.

All trips departed on the evening of January 24, with a total of 286 people, including both patients and their families, being transported directly to their homes for reunion. Throughout the journey, medical staff and youth volunteers provided continuous support and care. Additionally, patients were given detailed instructions on how to take care of their health during their time at home.

Leaders from Ninh Binh General Hospital shared that this activity embodies deep humanity, demonstrating timely care for patients. The program not only reduces living expenses but also provides emotional motivation, helping patients overcome difficulties and enjoy a joyful Tet with their families.
Prior to this, the hospital also implemented the “Spring of Love” program, distributing Tet gifts to poor patients from the “Gratitude and Social Welfare Fund.” The total value of the gifts was 180 million VND, benefiting 60 patients with particularly difficult circumstances or severe illnesses.

Dr. Chu Thi Giang, the hospital director, emphasized that these gifts are the result of contributions from the community, including individuals, organizations, businesses, and military personnel. This not only provides material support but also serves as a significant source of emotional encouragement, helping patients feel the love and sharing from society.
Such meaningful activities not only create favorable conditions for patients but also affirm the important role of the healthcare sector in building a connected and compassionate community.
Conclusion:
The “Heartful Journey” and “Spring of Love” programs by Ninh Binh General Hospital have brought joy and hope to many patients and families during Tet. These practical actions not only alleviate financial burdens but also provide the motivation needed for patients to overcome their illnesses and look forward to a brighter future. Let’s spread these positive values to build a more caring society.
