In the swimsuit segment, Huong Giang made a strong impression with confident catwalks and a captivating demeanor. Her sharp makeup and intense gaze highlighted her allure in a red one-piece swimsuit.
Regarding her physique, Huong Giang stands at 1.68m tall with measurements of 86-62-90cm. While considered well-proportioned, these figures are not necessarily an advantage compared to the “international beauty queen” standard, which often favors contestants over 1.73m.
Nevertheless, her swimsuit performance received widespread praise from audiences following the show. Other contestants who performed well in this segment included representatives from the Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, and Mexico.

In contrast to her explosive energy in the swimsuit segment, Huong Giang opted for a more restrained and graceful approach in the evening gown segment. She utilized fluid catwalk movements, perfectly complementing the elegant design of her gown.
Despite being one of the last contestants to perform, Huong Giang maintained stable form and delivered an impressive performance, garnering significant positive feedback from the audience.

The Miss Universe MC introduced Huong Giang as a famous singer, model, and producer in Vietnam. After gaining recognition through the Vietnam Idol competition and becoming Vietnam’s first Miss International Queen, she continued to pursue her goal of inspiring acceptance and equality for the LGBTQ+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, and others).
Earlier that day, Huong Giang entered the top 3 for the “Beyond The Crown” (Social Project) special award through online voting. She also scored high rankings in other voting categories such as “Most Beautiful People” and “People’s Choice.”
On the afternoon of November 19, Huong Giang also completed the National Costume segment with a pristine white Ao Dai, creating a distinct impression compared to the elaborate designs of other contestants.

Sharing with Missosology, Huong Giang stated: “I believe it is time to write history. My presence in this competition carries the hope of a community, adding meaning to the beauty and value of women. I believe that true courage can change destiny.”
As the only transgender contestant and also among the oldest in the competition, Huong Giang has received significant attention from international media, while consistently maintaining a professional, confident, and friendly demeanor since the beginning of the season.
According to the Miss Universe 2025 Organizing Committee, the competition results are based on the Closed-Door Interview, National Costume, Evening Gown, and Swimsuit segments. From the semifinals, the judges will select the top 30, followed by the top 12, top 5, top 3, and ultimately crown the winner in the final round on November 21.
Beauty pageant experts such as Missosology and Sash Factor (Philippines) predict that Huong Giang has a high chance of making it into the top 30. Sash Factor commented that Vietnam’s representative possesses “professional stage presence, excellent communication skills, and positive energy.”
