According to ETNews, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max duo will feature significant camera system improvements. These will be the first iPhone models equipped with a camera module capable of variable aperture, offering greater flexibility in all lighting conditions.
This feature allows users to adjust the amount of light entering the sensor depending on the shooting environment. Specifically, when shooting in low-light conditions, the aperture will automatically widen to capture more light, resulting in brighter and more detailed images.
Conversely, when shooting in bright outdoor sunlight, the aperture will narrow, preventing overexposure and helping to reproduce more accurate colors.
Additionally, variable aperture also allows the camera to better control depth of field, thereby enhancing the quality of portrait photos by making the subject stand out more against the background.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 18 will be improved with 12GB of RAM, similar to the Pro versions. This upgrade will help the device better meet the processing requirements of artificial intelligence (AI) related tasks.
