In the days leading up to Tet 2025, the Vietnamese mobile phone market is witnessing a surge in demand for high-end products. Notably, iPhone continues to dominate the market, capturing over 80% of sales in the smartphone segment priced above 15 million VND.

According to Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, spokesperson for the CellphoneS system, the trend of strong iPhone purchases remains robust compared to the general mobile market during Tet. This reflects consumers’ trust and preference for the Apple brand.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: Market Leader
Survey results from Dan Tri show that the iPhone 16 Pro Max with 128GB storage is the most popular model, accounting for over 40% of total iPhone sales during Tet. Currently, this model retails for 32.7 million VND for the 256GB version, down 800,000 VND from last month and 2.2 million VND from its initial price. The Desert Titanium color variant is particularly appealing in terms of pricing.
Representatives from Minh Tuan Mobile noted that sales of different iPhone 16 models have shown clear differentiation, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max maintaining its top position. Compared to the same period last year, sales of premium products have grown by about 20%, driven by an upgrade trend and gift-giving demands during Tet.
Attraction of Older iPhone Models
Besides the iPhone 16, older models have also garnered significant attention after price adjustments. Notable models include:
- iPhone 15: The 128GB version is now priced at 18.7 million VND, down 4.3 million VND from the original price.
- iPhone 15 Plus: Available for 22.6 million VND for the 128GB version, down 3.4 million VND.
- iPhone 13 and iPhone 14: Priced at 12.9 million VND and 15.9 million VND, respectively.
- iPhone 11 and iPhone 12: Starting at 9 million VND and 10 million VND, respectively.
Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, representative of Di Dong My, shared that within the under-15 million VND segment, the iPhone 13 is highly favored due to its attractive design, quality camera, and excellent performance. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 is suitable for new iOS users thanks to its affordable price and stable performance.
