NSND Lan Huong commented: “Just a minor issue! Get well soon and back to work.” Actor Quoc Truong said: “Get well soon, buddy…” Other colleagues such as NSUT Kieu Anh, designer Duc Hung, Ngoc Quynh, and Thuyong Cin also sent words of encouragement to the actor.
In an interview with Dan Tri, Doan Quoc Dam’s assistant stated that the actor was healthy and recovering. “He’s fine now, everything is going well. It was just due to the change in weather,” the assistant said.
Previously, while filming Dao, Pho, and Piano, Doan Quoc Dam injured his leg after jumping from the rooftop, making it difficult for him to move. He was diagnosed with muscle infection and had to undergo treatment for some time.
During the filming of Pho Trong Lang, Doan Quoc Dam also suffered a knee injury. The actor humorously noted that it had become a “habit” since exactly one year later, he experienced another leg injury.
Despite being in the film industry for a long time, Doan Quoc Dam often took on supporting roles, such as the character “Soi Ca” in Quynh Bup Be, Fedora in Me Cuong, Cuong in Ho So Ca Sau, and Tuon “Nhay” in Dau Tri.

In an interview with Dan Tri, Doan Quoc Dam revealed that when he first entered the profession, he decided not to pursue leading roles.
“I’m not as handsome as Manh Truong, nor as charming as Hong Dang, and I don’t have the charisma like Viet Anh. Therefore, I am willing to take the path that these three actors didn’t. I only play short but somewhat peculiar and quirky roles,” the actor said.
It wasn’t until his role as Hong in Doc Dao that Doan Quoc Dam landed a lead role. His portrayal of a cunning gangster was highly praised for its natural performance. For this role, he was nominated for the Outstanding Actor award at the VTV Awards 2024 but chose to withdraw from the nomination.
“I still feel there are many shortcomings and I haven’t fully perfected my craft. I want to take time to reflect and improve, worthy of the audience’s trust. I once again affirm that the awards are fair and transparent, as expected by the audience. There are no negative influences here. I apologize and thank the Vietnamese film audience and VTV,” he shared.
The actor added that this was not the first time he had declined nominations. His career philosophy has always been about acting rather than chasing awards.
“If invited to attend award ceremonies, I go to meet and greet fellow colleagues. I don’t put much weight on winning specific awards,” Doan Quoc Dam said.

Doan Quoc Dam (real name Dao Trong Hung), born in 1988 in Thai Nguyen, is often referred to as a “chameleon” of the Vietnamese screen. He was admitted to the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema with high professional scores.
Before becoming an actor, he worked as a production assistant to earn a living.
