On April 13th, the Lật mặt 8: Vòng tay nắng film crew held a project launch event in Thủ Đức City, attracting thousands of attendees.
The event featured director Lý Hải and a stellar cast including renowned actors NSƯT Kim Phương, NSƯT Tuyết Thu, NSƯT Chiều Xuân, Kiều Trinh, Long Đẹp Trai, and Quách Ngọc Tuyên.

Director Lý Hải shared his joy at the passionate reception: “Despite having to change the venue at the last minute and with only a few days to prepare, we were truly touched and elated to see such a large audience turn out so early.”
Initially scheduled at the Independence Palace (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the event was relocated.
Sharing the film’s message, Lý Hải said: “No matter who you are, what you do, or where you are, whether happy or hurt, the most important thing is sharing, a hug, a comforting embrace that can soothe any emotion and make us feel loved and protected.”
One highlight of the event was the appearance of TikToker Lê Tuấn Khang, making his debut as an actor. On stage, the “youthful duck farmer” shyly admitted to being a novice and evaded questions about his role.
“When the movie is released, everyone will see how I act, but I’m not going to tell you now, because I’m afraid of looking silly,” he said.
However, Lê Tuấn Khang surprised everyone by dueting with Lý Hải on the song “Khi người đàn ông khóc.” This collaboration quickly went viral on social media.
The film’s soundtrack for Lật mặt 8: Vòng tay nắng was also premiered, with a dynamic performance from the young cast. Notably, Lý Hải’s eldest daughter, Cherry, became a focal point, confidently showcasing her stage presence with singing and dancing before thousands of spectators.
With her impressive height and beautiful features inherited from her parents, Cherry received many compliments on her beauty. In Lật mặt 8: Vòng tay nắng, she plays the character of Thu.
Lật mặt 8: Vòng tay nắng will have a premiere screening from April 27th before its official theatrical release during the April 30th and May 1st holidays. The film promises a fierce box office clash with Thám tử Kiên, director Victor Vũ’s latest work.
