On November 23rd, Long Chau partnered with OMRON – Japan’s leading medical device brand – at the “7th Vietnam Hypertension Conference 2025,” organized by the Vietnam Hypertension Association in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the event, Long Chau and OMRON had the opportunity to collaborate with leading medical experts in Vietnam to update medical advancements, scientific research results, and practical applications surrounding “Hypertension in the Multifaceted and Digital Era.”
This is an annual scientific event aimed at updating knowledge, exchanging professional experience, and promoting national programs for hypertension prevention and control.
According to information from the Ministry of Health, hypertension is a very common condition in the community. Hypertension in adults is largely primary (essential hypertension), develops silently, and often has no prior warning signs, making it easily overlooked.
Medical experts warn that if high blood pressure is not well controlled, properly and fully treated, it can lead to severe complications, even death. It is one of the leading causes of stroke – a pressing health issue today.
Within the framework of the program, Long Chau, in collaboration with OMRON and a medical team, implemented a series of free activities including blood pressure and ECG screenings, BMI measurements, and other health parameters for doctors attending the conference.
Aiming for a common goal, both parties will collaborate to disseminate practical medical information about hypertension, how to manage blood pressure readings, and proactive health metrics using new technology applications.
Concurrently, the entities also coordinate with medical experts and frontline doctors to raise public awareness about hypertension. These activities are concrete steps, contributing to the Ministry of Health’s program and enhancing the effectiveness of stroke prevention in the community.
Here, doctors analyzed and provided personalized consultations to participants on blood pressure, ECG, and BMI readings. This enabled them to better understand their body condition, timely recognize risks of high blood pressure, stroke, atrial fibrillation, etc., thereby proactively preventing and protecting their health.
OMRON brought its latest home healthcare technologies. Notably, the HEM-7530T – a blood pressure monitor combined with ECG in a single measurement, helping to monitor heart rhythm and support early detection of arrhythmias. The Japanese brand also launched the HEM-7383T1, soon to be available in the Long Chau system. This device integrates AFib (atrial fibrillation) warning in a single blood pressure measurement thanks to Intellisense™ AFib technology.
These two products will provide proactive cardiovascular care solutions at home for the elderly and those at risk of cardiovascular disease.
In parallel, OMRON introduced a new generation of electronic body composition scales from Japan, supporting the assessment of body condition regarding BMI, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle, visceral fat, and basal metabolic rate. These devices help users proactively monitor health metrics and easily share results with experts for timely advice.
Through these activities, Long Chau and OMRON pioneer a comprehensive commitment to bringing modern medical devices closer to Vietnamese people, contributing to reducing health risks associated with hypertension and stroke.
Long Chau continues its role as an “extended arm” of the healthcare industry, steadfast in its journey of modern, safe healthcare. This is a consistent step by both parties, strengthening their long-term strategic cooperation in improving public health, aiming for a healthier Vietnam.
Previously, Long Chau had partnered with the Ministry of Health and other agencies to launch a national strategic cooperation program on stroke prevention and management. The unit plays a crucial role in supporting community awareness campaigns, emergency response, and timely connection of patients with medical facilities.
Additionally, with its “close to the people” platform of over 2,400 pharmacies and 200 vaccination centers across all regions, Long Chau continuously strives to bring global medical advancements to millions of Vietnamese families, in response to the spirit of Resolution 72 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 282 of the Government.
