On December 13, the People’s Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward, Da Nang City, responded to voter feedback on the public comment portal regarding the ward’s loudspeaker system broadcasting news early in the morning, affecting residents’ daily lives.
According to the feedback, over the past few months, several ward loudspeakers have been installed on electricity poles in the Thanh Tin intersection area, Dien Ban Dong Ward (formerly Dien Nam Dong Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province).
Loudspeaker on an electricity pole broadcasting early morning news, disturbing residents.
These loudspeakers typically broadcast news bulletins daily between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM, disturbing many households living near them and affecting their sleep, morale, and health.
Residents believe that in the current context, with many people working late into the evening and changing needs for morning rest, broadcasting ward announcements too early is inappropriate, especially in densely populated areas.
Voters have requested that the authorities consider adjusting the broadcasting schedule, suggesting that morning broadcasts be moved to midday or evening hours.
In response to this feedback, the People’s Committee of Dien Ban Dong Ward stated that it had directed the Public Service Center to research and adjust the broadcasting times to be more suitable and minimize impact on residents’ lives.
