These include a friendly against Singapore (November 13) and an away game against Sri Lanka (November 18) as part of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Explaining the decision to appoint Coach Anthony Hudson, FAT President Madam Pang stated: “At this crucial time, the national team needs someone who understands Thai football and the FAT system. Mr. Anthony Hudson has worked with the federation at all levels and possesses extensive experience in international competitions. That is why we chose him.”
Coach Anthony Hudson is 43 years old and holds dual British and American nationality. He has previously managed several national teams, including the USA, New Zealand, and Bahrain, and also has coaching experience with professional clubs in England and the United States.
Since early 2024, he has served as the Technical Development Director for the Football Association of Thailand. According to Madam Pang, FAT trusts Hudson’s capabilities and vision, hoping he can help the national team achieve sustainable development in both the short and long term.
Previously, FAT had made a sudden decision to dismiss Coach Masatada Ishii. The Japanese coach was deeply disappointed by this decision, believing that FAT had been insincere.

Madam Pang commented on the decision to dismiss Coach Masatada Ishii: “Changing the head coach is normal in football. FAT is responsible for the national team’s performance and the expectations of the fans.”
She stated that FAT’s technical committee evaluated Coach Ishii based on win rates and performance in major tournaments, comparing them with previous periods, before making the dismissal decision. After careful consideration, the technical committee unanimously agreed that the national team needed a change to create a new impetus.
