MC Quyền Linh: Family Reunions and Happiness at Tet

MC Quyền Linh: "Tôi vui khi hai con gái ngày càng được khán giả yêu mến"

Tet is more than just a traditional holiday for the people of Vietnam; it holds special significance for MC Quyền Linh’s family. This is when they gather together to enjoy warm and fulfilling moments.

Tet Traditions: Strengthening Family Bonds

For MC Quyền Linh, Tet is an opportunity to revive cultural traditions through meaningful activities. After his children finish school, the family often returns to their hometown to visit the graves of their ancestors. This not only preserves a beautiful custom but also educates younger generations about gratitude and filial piety.

After their trip back home, the family returns to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the new year. As Quyền Linh shares, their Tet preparations are simple yet cozy. “We prefer shopping at supermarkets rather than cooking elaborate meals. Traditional dishes like meat stewed with eggs, sticky rice cake, and pickled vegetables have been sent up by our grandparents,” he says.

Cherished Moments: True Happiness

In their busy daily lives, it’s rare for all four family members to come together. Quyền Linh shares, “I’m constantly busy with my artistic career, my wife has her own business, and my two daughters focus on their studies.”

Thus, Tet becomes a precious time for creating memories. From outings and meals to trips away from home, every activity is done with a spirit of connection and sharing. “The whole family spends almost all of Tet together,” Quyền Linh emphasizes.

He mentions that his daughters, Lọ Lem (born 2006) and Hạt Dẻ (born 2008), love wearing ao dai during the new year. Every year, his wife and children sew matching ao dai to wear during Tet, creating a visually appealing and meaningful image.
