On January 20th, the premiere of actor Minh Du’s short film Chuyen nha Ti 4 – Hoa le took place in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring renowned artists such as NSND Kim Xuan, artist Gia Bao, actor Quang Tuan, and Thuan Nguyen. This special project is not only meaningful in content but also remarkable for the story behind its production.
The Birth of a Special Project
In a conversation with Dan Tri reporters, Minh Du shared that initially, he had no plans to undertake this project. Major changes in the past year left him exhausted and wanting to take a break from filmmaking to focus on his family.
“After finishing each film, I always felt financially strained and unable to provide adequately for my family. I thought about celebrating Tet normally, without chasing after projects,” Minh Du reflected. However, motivated by encouragement from colleagues and close friends, he decided to continue his creative journey, bringing a meaningful spiritual product to his audience.

Financial Challenges and Determination for Passion
One of the biggest challenges Minh Du faced was financial. Although some partners provided support, the budget still fell short.

Support from Colleagues
Not only did Minh Du overcome financial difficulties, but he also received enthusiastic support from veteran artists and close colleagues. NSND Kim Xuan, NSUT Huu Chau, and actress Puka all agreed to participate in the project without demanding fees.
“Puka is a prime example. Every year, I have to chase her car to deliver the fee, but she firmly refused. Many other artists even agreed to join without reading the script because they trusted the quality and message I wanted to convey,” Minh Du emotionally shared.

Chuyen nha Ti 4 – Hoa le is set in a Tet market, telling a story through the perspective of a flower seller. The film not only provides light entertainment but also provokes deep reflections on life.
NSND Kim Xuan, who has been involved in the series since the first season, expressed her admiration for Minh Du: “We are always ready to collaborate with Minh Du because we know that your products are not just for entertainment, but also carry profound humanistic values suitable for audiences both domestically and internationally.”
