Singer Minh Hang caused a stir when she appeared at Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW) Autumn-Winter 2025 (on the evening of November 12) with a completely transformed look. Her short platinum blonde hair and youthful style made many audience members barely recognize her.
On the fashion stage in Hanoi, Minh Hang performed her newly released song Director, a track carrying a subtle message about taking charge of one’s life like a director.
With short platinum blonde hair and a sexy white outfit, Minh Hang brought youthful, vibrant energy to the stage, reminiscent of Gen Z artists (born from 1997 to 2012).
Some commented that this image of Minh Hang was completely different from her previous graceful “mommy” look. This transformation made many audience members at the event almost not recognize the singer.
This stage also marked Minh Hang’s official return to the music scene after many years of absence. The singer admitted that she had spent a considerable amount of time producing a product that aligned with her current artistic direction.
In recent years, Minh Hang had almost entirely stepped away from music. She married in mid-2022, gave birth to her first child in 2023, and dedicated most of her time to caring for her small family. She primarily participated in films, reality shows, and acted as a brand ambassador.
Sharing about her return, Minh Hang stated: “I think this is the most suitable time. Recently, I’ve had time to rest and focus on my roles as a wife and mother. It was during my participation in Chi Dep Dap Gio (Sisters Who Make Waves) that the inspiration to make music, perform, and be on stage began to return to me.”
Her success at Chi Dep Dap Gio 2024, where she won the “Most Loved Sister” award and joined the “Hoa Dap Gio” lineup, was a huge motivation.
“The invaluable support from the audience after many years of absence energized me to create new products,” she said.

On her personal page, the singer also drew attention by sharing “Dance music is back.” This brought back memories of an incident more than 10 years ago when Minh Hang threw dance music CDs to her audience.
Although this video sparked much discussion, Minh Hang stated that it was her desire for closer interaction and considered it a memorable lesson in her career journey.
Singer and actress Minh Hang (born 1987) is one of the Vietnamese showbiz artists with lasting fame. She rose to prominence with hits like Mot Vong Trai Dat (Around the Earth) and several film and television roles, including Goi Giấc Mơ Ve (Call the Dream Back) and Bay Ngot Ngao (Sweet Trap).
After marrying and having a child, she temporarily stepped back to care for her family. Recently, Minh Hang decided to return to conquer the music market with new products.
Vietnam International Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2025 took place from November 11-15 at Quan Ngua Sports Palace, Hanoi, with the theme Pure Style Shines.
The fashion week will feature 20 designers and brands from Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Spain, China, India, Cambodia, Laos, and more.
