According to the Food Safety Department, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health must direct medical facilities to mobilize maximum resources for treatment and closely monitor patients’ health developments to prevent severe complications.

The Food Safety Department requested the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health to urgently investigate and trace the origin of the food to clearly identify the cause of poisoning, and to clarify the source of ingredients and food suspected of causing the illness.
In cases where food establishments are found to violate food safety regulations, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health must handle them in accordance with legal provisions and publicly announce the results to promptly warn the community.
Regarding the incident, Mr. Do Ngoc Hoa, Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health, stated that since December 14, 105 people have visited local medical facilities for examination and treatment due to suspected food poisoning from eating Hong Van bread. Among them, 73 people required inpatient treatment at hospitals.
After the incident, the Hong Van bread establishment posted an apology letter on social media. The owner of the Hong Van bread establishment apologized to customers and accepted responsibility for the incident.

The owner of the Hong Van bread establishment also admitted shortcomings in the process of controlling and preparing food, which affected public health.
The establishment has closed all its branches to cooperate with authorities in inspecting, verifying the cause of poisoning, and remedying the consequences.
As Dan Tri reported, starting from December 14, medical facilities in Quang Ngai province received dozens of patients suffering from food poisoning. These individuals stated that they had eaten bread from the Hong Van establishment. The Department of Health has requested the Hong Van bread establishment to temporarily cease operations to cooperate with the investigation.
The Hong Van bread establishment has many branches in Quang Ngai. Every day, this establishment sells thousands of loaves of bread to the market.
