Incident Details

According to the report from Mrs. Ca Thi Xuan (43 years old, mother of the missing girl), around 3 PM on February 2 (the fifth day of Tet), her daughter Quang Huong Giang left home with a 18-year-old male named Nguyen Trung Thanh (from Lam Dong). When leaving, Giang took personal clothing and used a black electric bicycle.

On February 5, Mrs. Xuan told reporters that the family still hasn’t found her daughter. However, she received a handwritten letter from Giang via three classmates, which read: “Because my mother often scolds and beats me, I ran away.”

Noteworthy Details

Mrs. Xuan revealed that on January 29 (New Year’s Eve), the male teenager Nguyen Trung Thanh was brought home by Giang and asked for permission to stay until April. The family refused but allowed him to stay through Tet.

“During his time at my house, I did not let the two of them sleep in the same bed,” shared Mrs. Xuan. On the fourth day of Tet, the young man left but returned on the fifth to retrieve a bag of clothes he had forgotten. After that, both were out of contact.

Through footage extracted from a friend’s camera, Mrs. Xuan confirmed the last image showing her daughter riding the electric bicycle with the young man. She believes her daughter is still in Son La City and hopes the community will help find her.
