A seventh-grade student from Hue city went missing while swimming at Vinh Thanh beach in Phu Vang district.
On April 16th, Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Hợp, Chairman of Thủy Tân Commune (Hương Thủy District, Hue City), stated that authorities are actively searching for the missing student.
According to Mr. Hợp, on the afternoon of April 15th, P.N.M., a 7th-grade student at Thủy Tân Primary and Secondary School, went to Vinh Thanh beach with friends to swim.

While swimming, the student was reportedly swept out to sea by strong waves and lost.
Around 4:30 PM that day, the student’s friends contacted his family to inform them of the situation.
Local authorities and emergency personnel began searching for the missing student immediately upon receiving the report. However, no results have been found so far.
