The music program “Mother and Homeland,” produced by singer Ha Phuong, has officially premiered, capturing special attention from the public. More than just a typical concert, the event marks a rare appearance on stage by the three sisters Cam Ly, Ha Phuong, and Minh Tuyet with their parents, creating memorable moments for the audience.
A Meaningful Gift for Her Father, the Composer
According to singer Ha Phuong, “Mother and Homeland” is a gift she wants to present to her beloved father, composer Tran Quang Hien, who guided her and her sisters into the world of arts. With love and admiration for her parents, Ha Phuong decided to bring their emotional love story to life through a unique play.
Ha Phuong portrays the main character in the play about her parents’ love story.
Their love story unfolded amidst the turbulent times of war. Their passion was filled with deep sorrow as they faced numerous challenges and hardships. Particularly, due to difficult circumstances, composer Tran Quang Hien had to leave his homeland and mother, leaving behind a lasting sense of longing.
A Play Recounting a Life Journey
Ha Phuong revealed that this is only a small part of her father’s life journey. Previously, many authors proposed that she make a film to tell his entire life story. However, to convey a message about love and family values, she chose to recreate an emotionally rich segment through the play in this special music program.
To prepare for the project, the singer continuously traveled between the United States and Vietnam throughout 2024. She decided to launch the program during Tet, the Lunar New Year, as a meaningful way to share messages of familial love at the start of the new year.
The Pride of Composer Tran Quang Hien in His Talented Daughters
At the event, composer Tran Quang Hien expressed profound pride in his talented daughters: Cam Ly, Ha Phuong, and Minh Tuyet. He shared that while he always supported them pursuing art, he previously required them to complete high school before starting professional singing. Thanks to their natural talents, all three sisters can sing various genres, especially traditional art forms like ca tru, which the family holds dear.

“I have many musician friends, but none of them have three children in the arts like me. Many only have two (laughs). This is a stroke of fate, perhaps I am blessed by heaven, so I cherish my family and am very proud of my children,” composer Tran Quang Hien said emotionally.
Conclusion
“Mother and Homeland” is more than a music performance; it is an emotional story about love, family, and traditional values. Through the play that reenacts her parents’ love story, Ha Phuong conveys a profound message about love and family bonds. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this special program and fully appreciate the emotions it evokes.
