Recently, an Indian woman named Varsha Yaduvanshi Tanwar became the center of criticism on social media after posting a video showing her placing her young child on the edge of a rooftop. Notably, she held the child with only one hand while using the other to record the scene with her phone.

In the caption below the video, Varsha wrote: “Good morning everyone! I’m a brave little boy exploring the world and soaking up vitamin D with my beloved mom.”
The clip quickly gained numerous views and interactions after being posted. Many social media users, especially mothers, expressed anger over Varsha’s actions.
“Please don’t film videos like this; it looks extremely dangerous. I understand you trust your control, but children are unpredictable. Please be careful,” one social media user commented.
In response to the backlash, Varsha posted another video defending her perspective.
She explained that although the video showed her holding her child with one hand, in reality, she was supporting the child with both hands.
“To those criticizing me, I don’t care. I know how to take care of my child. If you want to know the truth, come meet me in person. Don’t tell me how to raise my kid,” Varsha said.
However, this explanation failed to convince the public. Many people emphasized that parents should avoid risky behaviors to ensure their children’s safety.
