  • Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police Department.
  • Deputy Director of the National Police Agency.
  • Director of the Criminal Investigation Bureau for Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling.
  • Deputy Minister of Public Security.

In 2021, he was promoted to Major General, and then advanced to Lieutenant General in 2023. In June 2024, Mr. Ngọc was appointed as Director of the Central Party Office and elected as a Member of the 13th Secretariat.
