At exactly 8 PM on November 5th, My Tam’s See The Light concert officially opened its early bird ticket sales, attracting tens of thousands of interested fans eager to purchase tickets.
This concert marks the return of the “brown-haired nightingale” to a stadium-scale stage since the success of Tri Âm (2022), making every move highly anticipated by her fans.
As expected, the ticketing platform recorded thousands of accesses immediately upon opening. By around 11 PM on the same day, My Tam’s official page announced that 22,000 early bird tickets had “sold out” in just 3 hours.
This is an “astronomical” figure that any artist holding a stadium show would aspire to.
However, prior to the sale, social media was abuzz about an account that deposited over 27.8 billion VND into the show’s partner bank account, ostensibly to prepare for the “ticket hunting war,” leaving many wide-eyed with disbelief. Many other accounts also allocated tens of millions of VND to seek opportunities to buy concert tickets.
Some prominent comments about the incident included: “Is this person trying to book the entire stadium?”; “My Tam’s fans are truly dedicated!”; “But what kind of tickets would cost 27.8 billion VND? Or is it a publicity stunt?”…
My Tam’s representatives have since clarified this “astronomical” figure.
Speaking with Dân trí reporters, My Tam’s media representative confirmed that the 27.8 billion VND deposit was real, but also clarified the true purpose behind the sum.
The representative stated that the fan’s 27.8 billion VND deposit was “not 100% accurate” for the sole purpose of buying tickets.
“It’s true that a fan deposited 27.8 billion VND into the bank account to participate in ticket hunting. However, they deposited the money for multiple reasons. Firstly, because My Tam’s live show program is collaborating with a bank, fans opened accounts and deposited money into them.
Secondly, the fan deposited money for savings. Thirdly, it was to participate in a free ticket giveaway program, as the bank has a program offering tickets based on deposit balances,” the representative explained.
Thus, instead of using the entire 27.8 billion VND to purchase tickets, this fan deposited a large sum to increase their chances of receiving complimentary tickets from the bank.
“The fan deposited money for a chance to win complimentary tickets, not to use the entire amount for purchases. Of course, they also used that account to buy selected seats, but we don’t know how many,” My Tam’s team representative clarified.
This information was verified through promotional programs that the partner bank of My Tam posted on its official communication channels.
The bank’s customers were able to access early bird tickets and discounts. Cardholders had opportunities to receive free tickets; tickets were also offered through various other financial products such as savings deposits, insurance, and loans…
After clarifying the issue, it became clear that the 27.8 billion VND deposited by the fan was not entirely for ticket purchases. Nevertheless, this incident still demonstrates the immense willingness to spend and the profound enthusiasm of My Tam’s fanbase.
My Tam’s team also clarified the ticket structure for the See The Light concert. The show is expected to accommodate 40,000 spectators. Of these, 30,000 tickets were made available for sale (22,000 tickets sold out in the first wave, with 8,000 more to be released on November 16th), and the remaining 10,000 tickets belong to the partner bank for organizing giveaway programs and customer appreciation.
Following the rapid sell-out of My Tam’s concert tickets, the resale market for the singer’s show has also become lively. Fans are discussing whether to wait for the next ticket sale or buy from resellers “to be safe,” with many lamenting that buying tickets in the first wave was quite difficult, and some who managed to buy multiple tickets found their seats far apart.
The See The Light concert is anticipated to once again break My Tam’s own records, featuring the largest investment of her career. Fans are eagerly awaiting the “brown-haired nightingale’s” next performance on the evening of December 13th at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi.
