1. Commanders and Political Officers

Commanders and political officers of commune-level military command units or organizations will now receive a monthly allowance of 561,600 VND, up from the previous 357,600 VND.

2. Deputy Commanders and Deputy Political Officers

Deputy commanders, deputy political officers of commune-level military command units or organizations; battalion commanders, battalion political officers; naval team commanders, naval political officers, etc., will now receive 514,800 VND/month, compared to the previous 327,800 VND/month.

3. Company Commanders and Political Officers

Company commanders, company political officers; naval team leaders, naval political officers; mobile militia platoon leaders, and standing militia platoon leaders will now receive 468,000 VND/month, an increase from 298,000 VND/month.

4. Village Militia Leaders

Village militia leaders will now receive a monthly allowance of 280,800 VND. If they hold additional roles such as squad leader or platoon leader of local militia, their allowance will increase by 100% of the supplementary position’s allowance.

In cases where villages organize local militia units, village militia leaders will receive an additional 100% of the squad leader’s allowance, equivalent to 298,000 VND.

5. Other Positions

Other positions also see increases in their allowances:

  • Deputy company commanders, deputy political officers: 351,000 VND/month (previously 223,500 VND).
  • Platoon leaders, standing militia squad leaders: 280,800 VND/month (previously 178,800 VND).
  • Squad leaders, boat captains, gunnery leaders: 234,000 VND/month (previously 149,000 VND).

Amendments to Village Militia Leader Allowances

Decree No. 16/2025/ND-CP also revises Clause 2, Article 8 concerning allowances for village militia leaders. Accordingly, their monthly allowance will be decided by the Provincial People’s Committee and submitted to the Provincial People’s Council, but must not be less than 1.17 million VND (previously 745,000 VND).
