On January 21st, Can Tho City Police held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security regarding personnel matters. This event marks an important milestone in strengthening and developing the police force at the local level.

Ceremony to Announce the Decision
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Phạm Văn Hiểu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Can Tho City; Mr. Lê Tấn Thủ, Head of the Organization Committee of the Party Committee of Can Tho City, along with other senior leaders. This was an occasion to recognize contributions and prepare for the next phase of development for the city’s police force.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Minister of Public Security, Senior General Nguyễn Văn Thuận, Director of Can Tho City Police, presented the appointment decision to Colonel Đinh Tùng An, born in 1981 from Thai Binh province, who will assume the position of Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police. Prior to this, Colonel An served as the head of a department under the Ministry of Public Security.

In his speech, Senior General Nguyễn Văn Thuận emphasized the importance of the new role for Colonel Đinh Tùng An. He urged the new Deputy Director to demonstrate high levels of responsibility, promote democracy, foster internal unity, and leverage collective wisdom. Additionally, he expressed hope that Colonel Đinh Tùng An would provide effective advice to local authorities in areas such as national security, public order, party building, and enhancing the image of the Can Tho City Police force.

In addition to maintaining stability in public order, the new Deputy Director is expected to propose innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness of the police force. This not only meets political requirements but also contributes to building a positive image of the police among the public.
The appointment of Colonel Đinh Tùng An as Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police underscores his capabilities and experience while reflecting the trust of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.
