Cuốn sách khơi dậy tiềm thức, thay đổi cuộc sống của nhiều người

The Tăng Long Bridge, a crucial transportation artery in Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed a new span on February 28, 2025. This event garnered enthusiastic reception from local residents, hoping to alleviate years of traffic congestion.

A Significant Step Forward for Ho Chi Minh City Traffic

After more than seven years of anticipation, residents of Thu Duc City and surrounding areas can now experience smoother commutes. The new Tăng Long Bridge, located on Lã Xuân Oai Road and spanning Trau Trau Creek, is a significant project overseen by the Ho Chi Minh City Project Management Board for Infrastructure Development. Construction commenced in late 2017, but faced challenges and a temporary halt between 2019 and 2023.

Project Details

The project covers a total area of 2.62 hectares, with a total investment exceeding 741 billion VND. Construction costs amounted to 688 billion VND, while land acquisition and compensation for 34 affected households reached 53.1 billion VND. The new bridge spans 790 meters, with the bridge section itself measuring 231 meters and two 11-meter-wide spans, each accommodating two lanes of traffic and pedestrian walkways. The contractor has completed lane markings and traffic flow management on the new span, ensuring smooth traffic.

Addressing Traffic Gridlock

The opening of the new Tăng Long Bridge span significantly reduces strain on the aging existing bridge and alleviates congestion on Lã Xuân Oai Road, Lò Lu Road, and the high-tech zone. Observations from Dân trí show considerable improvement in traffic flow at key intersections.

Hope for the Future

Many residents expressed excitement and optimism about the potential for significant traffic improvement. Ms. Lê Thị Lan (43), a resident of Thu Duc City, shared, “This morning’s commute was on the new bridge. I hope that in the future, residents will no longer face congestion and crowding on this road section.”

Completion Timeline and Future Plans

The project is scheduled for completion before Tet, but potential delays may arise due to construction material availability. Following the opening of the new span, authorities will close the existing temporary roadway to dismantle the old bridge and complete the remaining span. Furthermore, the bridge’s lighting, landscaping, drainage, and sidewalks are currently under construction.

Conclusion

The opening of the new Tăng Long Bridge span marks a significant advancement in Ho Chi Minh City’s transportation infrastructure. It demonstrates the commitment of authorities to addressing complex traffic issues, benefiting residents and fostering regional economic growth.
