Under Article 45 of the 2024 Road Traffic Safety Law, transporting passengers by car must comply with the following regulations:
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations: Drivers must ensure that passengers are picked up and dropped off at specified locations, provide guidance on the use of safety equipment, and maintain cleanliness inside the vehicle.
- Follow scheduled routes and timetables: Vehicles must adhere to registered routes and schedules unless there are exceptional circumstances.
- Do not carry passengers in dangerous positions: It is forbidden to carry passengers on the roof, in luggage compartments, or to allow them to hang onto or ride outside the vehicle.
- Do not transport hazardous goods: Prohibited items include dangerous goods, banned goods, contraband, wild animals, or goods with offensive odors that affect the health of passengers and the environment.
- Comply with weight limits: Vehicles must not exceed the allowed number of passengers or cargo weight.
- Do not transport goods in the passenger compartment: Cargo must not be stored in the passenger compartment.
