The Tet holiday of the Year of the Rabbit 2025 is approaching, bringing excitement and joy to every corner of the country. One of the highlights this year is the nationwide fireworks displays, offering unforgettable moments for people as they welcome the new year.
Hanoi: Spectacular Fireworks at 30 Locations on New Year’s Eve
Hanoi, the thousand-year-old capital, will be the center of attention with 30 fireworks locations (including 31 launch sites) at the stroke of midnight. These sites are distributed across all 30 districts, counties, and towns, ensuring that residents from all areas can enjoy the spectacular light show.
Specifically, there will be 9 high-altitude combined low-altitude sites (corresponding to 10 launch sites), along with 21 low-altitude sites. The fireworks display will last from 00:00 to 00:15 on January 29 (New Year’s Day). With temperatures ranging from 12-20°C and no rain expected, the weather on the night of the 29th day of the lunar month is ideal for outdoor activities, especially gathering around Hoan Kiem Lake to witness the New Year’s moment.

Ho Chi Minh City: Setting a Record for Firework Launch Sites
Ho Chi Minh City is not to be outdone, setting a record for the number of fireworks launch sites during this Tet celebration. A total of 15 launch sites have been set up, including 2 high-altitude sites and 13 low-altitude sites.
The highlight is the Saigon River Tunnel Park, where about 1,500 high-altitude fireworks and 30 low-altitude racks have been installed, making it the site with the most firework racks among the 15 launch points in the city. Preparations have been meticulously carried out with support from soldiers from the Ho Chi Minh City Command and the Civil Defense Militia.

Festive Atmosphere Spreads Across Other Provinces
Apart from the two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, most provinces across the country also organize fireworks displays accompanied by special cultural programs to meet the needs of celebrating Tet. These dazzling fireworks not only illuminate the night sky but also contribute to a more meaningful and complete Tet festival.
In Da Nang, the flower street featuring a prominent golden snake has attracted many visitors. This demonstrates the meticulous efforts of local authorities to provide unique experiences for both residents and tourists during this important holiday.
Conclusion
The nationwide New Year’s Eve fireworks program in 2025 promises to bring wonderful moments to everyone. Take time to enjoy the festive atmosphere with family and friends, and cherish the memories of the transition from the old year to the new one.
