Journey from History Student to International Music Talent
Nguyễn Thị Minh Nhật (born in 2002) is a girl from Hanoi and currently a vocal performance student at the National Academy of Music in Vietnam. Since childhood, she has shown an intense passion for music, with her idol being the famous singer Taylor Swift.
Before pursuing a professional music career, Minh Nhật was a history student at Hanoi Amsterdam High School. She was not only an excellent student but also scored an IELTS 8.0, actively participating in artistic activities, especially as a singer in the Ams Glee Club.
After graduating high school, Minh Nhật decided to study communication at RMIT University. However, her passion for music remained strong. In 2022, she quit RMIT to prepare for and eventually gain admission to the National Academy of Music.
Dedicated Guidance from Renowned Artists
At the National Academy of Music, Minh Nhật was fortunate to be mentored by People’s Artist Quốc Hưng and vocal instructor Sao Mai Hương Ly. With her warm and rich Lyric soprano voice, she consistently excelled, achieving scores above 9.0 in her specialized courses.

Success at an International Competition and Dream of Becoming an Opera Singer
In July 2024, Minh Nhật participated in the Chicago International Music Competition in the United States. Although she did not win any awards, she gained valuable experience. The lessons learned from this competition significantly contributed to her victory at the ZhongSin International Music Competition.
When announced as the winner, Minh Nhật was overwhelmed with joy and surprise. She shared: “This achievement is a great motivation for me to continue pursuing my dream of becoming an opera singer.”
