The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that tonight and early morning on February 16, this cold air will affect the eastern part of Northern Vietnam, later impacting some areas in the western part of Northern Vietnam and the northern central region.
From tonight, the eastern part of Northern Vietnam will become cold, with mountainous regions experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the eastern part of Northern Vietnam are expected to range from 16-19°C, with some mountainous areas dropping below 15°C.
In Hanoi, it will become cold starting tonight, with the lowest temperatures in the capital ranging between 17-19°C.
According to meteorological authorities, two additional waves of cold air reinforcements will affect the northern region around February 18-19 and February 20-21.
However, due to their weak intensity, these cold air masses will primarily cause light rain; the lowest temperatures in the northern region will hover around 16-18°C, with some mountainous areas falling below 15°C.
