Recently, on her personal Facebook page, Minh Nguyệt – the wife of NSND Tự Long, who is 12 years younger than him – shared a photo of a handwritten letter her husband sent her 11 years ago. She wrote: “In 2014, someone wrote me a handwritten letter. Now, in 2025… I’m eating chocolate with my moody son.”
The letter was written by NSND Tự Long while he was in Nha Trang in August 2014. After it was shared, the heartfelt content quickly caught the attention of fans.

In the letter, NSND Tự Long expressed that his wife was the first person to truly understand him, both his strengths and flaws. He felt grateful for this and hoped to be by her side through every moment of life.
“The two of us are like pieces of a puzzle. Both you and I have experienced loss and pain. We share similarities, which help us understand each other better, but they also present challenges we must overcome together.
I want you to be the one who worries about me, cares for me, and shares everything with me. I want all that belongs to me to belong to you, and vice versa. Life is full of difficulties, and I hope you’ll always hold my hand when I’m sick, when I fall, or when I reach the peak of success.
I wish you to always stay beautiful, healthy, and never let go of my hand,” an excerpt from the letter reads.
Under the post and shared images, many colleagues, friends, and fans expressed admiration for NSND Tự Long’s deep love for his wife.

After his first marriage ended, NSND Tự Long remarried Minh Nguyệt in 2015. She is a lecturer at the University of Culture and Arts of the Military, holding the rank of Major.
After 10 years of marriage, the couple has three children – two daughters and a son. Their eldest daughter, Minh Thu (affectionately called Táo lớn, aged 10), their second daughter Minh Châu (called Táo nhỏ, aged 6), and their youngest son Bách (aged 3).
In an interview with Dân trí, Minh Nguyệt shared that Tự Long is a simple man who isn’t picky but is perfectionistic. She still buys his clothes and plans his outfits for trips, carefully matching colors.
After going through ups and downs in their married life, the couple learned to listen to each other to build a happy family.
NSND Tự Long confessed that, beyond the power of love, there is something called fate.
“I believe in true love, and secondly, destiny. In life, to live together, you must endure each other. And between husband and wife, endurance is voluntary. It means accepting both the good and bad, even the imperfections of each other.
From my perspective as a traditional man, connection and sharing within a family are extremely important. If you don’t fully trust and communicate with each other, cracks can easily form.
I’m confident in having a strong support system. My wife not only loves me but also dedicates herself to our children and family,” NSND Tự Long told Dân trí.
