On January 25, the People’s Committee of Dong Commune, Kbang District, announced that local authorities and residents were making efforts to mobilize forces to search for two missing children. This incident has garnered significant attention from the community, especially as Tet is approaching.
On January 23, siblings Đinh Thị Lợi (born in 2013) and Đinh Văn Lộc (born in 2017), residents of Dak Giang 2 village, Dong Commune, Kbang District, went with their father, Mr. Đinh Bân, to work in the fields. After lunch, the two children left to play around the area. However, by the evening, a tragic misunderstanding occurred: Mr. Bân believed his children had returned home, while their mother at home thought they were sleeping at the fields with him.

It wasn’t until late on January 24 that Mr. Bân returned home and realized his children were missing. The family immediately began searching and reported the situation to the authorities. Upon receiving the report, the Dong Commune authorities promptly initiated support measures.

Mr. Nguyễn Đăng Chung, Chairman of the Dong Commune People’s Committee, shared with Dan Tri reporters that the authorities have directed the commune police, militia, and over 60 villagers to assist the family in the search. Currently, the search teams are focusing on reviewing rivers, streams, and ponds in the area to ensure no location related to the children’s disappearance is overlooked.
The search is being conducted urgently, especially given the challenging weather and natural conditions in the region. Local authorities are calling for support from the community and nearby residents to provide any useful information.
The disappearance of the two children has not only caused distress for the family but also touched the hearts of the entire community. It serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of care and supervision for children, particularly in outdoor or rural settings.
We hope that with the determined efforts of the authorities and the solidarity of the people, the children will be found safe soon. Readers with relevant information are encouraged to contact the local authorities immediately to provide timely assistance.
