Over 7,000 experts, engineers, workers, and laborers celebrated Tet at the Long Thanh Airport construction site this year. Contractors maintained at least 70% of their workforce and nearly 3,000 equipment to ensure project progress. Various festive activities were organized on-site, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere for the workers.

Focused Construction Throughout Tet

According to Mr. Duong Quang Dien, Acting Director of the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, contractors organized hundreds of construction teams with over 7,000 workers participating. This workforce included experts, engineers, and workers from various units. To ensure progress, construction units maintained at least 70% of their manpower and equipment throughout the Tet holiday.

Mr. Le Van Tien, Chief Commander of ACC’s Joint Venture Contractor for Package 4.6, stated that his team is striving to complete tasks ahead of schedule. Many workers decided to stay on-site to celebrate Tet and continue working. Contractors planned festive activities to support the workers and boost morale.

Accelerating Key Project Milestones

During this Tet, critical packages such as the passenger terminal and runway are being accelerated. In Package 5.10, related to the construction and installation of terminal facilities, contractors are largely keeping pace with the schedule. The steel roof structure assembly and roofing work are progressing actively.

For Package 4.6, which includes the construction, installation of equipment, and technical design of runways, taxiways, and aprons, units are focusing on completing and commissioning the runway by April 30th. This goal aims to welcome the 50th anniversary of National Reunification, three months ahead of contract deadlines.
