Phu Tho Province’s People’s Council (HĐND) held a special session on February 21st to address several crucial matters within its jurisdiction.
100% of the attending delegates voted to approve the resolution to remove Mr. Dương Hoàng Hương from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Council for the 2021-2026 term due to a transfer.
Simultaneously, the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Council also passed a resolution confirming the election of Mr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên as Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council. Mr. Kiên, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Department and the head of the Provincial People’s Council’s Legal Department, is a highly experienced and respected official.
At the session, Mr. Bùi Văn Quang, Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee, presented a proposal to remove Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Hải from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to his retirement, aligning with the province’s streamlining of government structure and personnel re-allocation efforts. The Phu Tho Provincial People’s Council delegates unanimously approved this resolution.
The delegates also voted to approve the election of Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Sơn, Secretary of the Viet Tri City Party Committee and Chairman of the Viet Tri City People’s Council, as Deputy Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Mr. Sơn is expected to significantly contribute to Phu Tho’s socioeconomic development.
Mr. Bùi Minh Châu, Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, emphasized the importance of this session. He stated that the Council would approve the establishment and restructuring of specialized agencies under the Provincial People’s Committee, demonstrating a commitment to streamlining the government.
Mr. Châu also affirmed that the decisions made during the session reflect the consensus and support of officials, party members, and the people of Phu Tho Province, while also providing renewed impetus for the province’s development. This session marks a significant step in strengthening Phu Tho’s leadership, enhancing administrative efficiency, and meeting the demands of future development.
