On December 27th, the area around Hoa Sứ Restaurant (Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) was bustling with activity as military officers from the city’s Command Headquarters were rushing to complete the final preparations for the dazzling Tet fireworks display celebrating the Year of the Rabbit 2025.

Scale and Locations of the Fireworks Display
According to the plan, this year, Can Tho will host the fireworks display at four different locations, including one high-altitude site and three low-altitude sites. The high-altitude fireworks display will take place at the city center – the Hoa Sứ Restaurant area, featuring over 1,000 fireworks in various types and vibrant colors such as chrysanthemums, apricot blossoms, and shooting stars…

For the low-altitude fireworks, the city will organize simultaneous displays at three locations: Phan Van Tri Park (Phong Dien District), the People’s Committee Square in Vinh Thanh District, and the square in Thoi Lai District. The duration of the fireworks at all locations will be 15 minutes each, creating a lively and festive atmosphere for people welcoming the new year.
Timing and Preparation Work
According to the schedule, the high-altitude fireworks display will begin at midnight on January 29th (the first day of Tet 2025). For the low-altitude fireworks, the display is expected to start at 10 PM on New Year’s Eve, giving people more opportunities to enjoy the spectacular transition from the old year to the new year under the dazzling lights of fireworks.

Currently, the installation of fireworks at all locations has been mostly completed. Security forces have also stepped up their control to ensure maximum safety for the public during the event.
