“Reverse Peace,” a play penned by Thiên Ân and directed by NSƯT Kiều Minh Hiếu, premiered to the public on March 22nd at the Vietnam National Theatre. Inspired by the heroic sacrifice of three firefighters, the play realistically portrays their dangerous missions and deeply explores the inner lives of these soldiers facing life-or-death situations.
The Heroic Sacrifice of Firefighters
“Reverse Peace” centers on the true story of the sacrifice of Vũ Trọng Thanh, Ngô Trung Tuấn, and Hoàng Nhật Linh, three courageous firefighters. The play doesn’t just focus on loss and sorrow, but also depicts the camaraderie among the team and the struggles these soldiers face with the inherent risks of their profession.
A Packed House, Tears of Emotion
The performance attracted nearly 200 audience members of various ages. The scene depicting the three firefighters’ sacrifice in the fire deeply moved many to tears, highlighting the ultimate sacrifice of these brave heroes. Spectators were moved and expressed admiration for these silent heroes.
Realistic Depiction and Stunning Effects
NSƯT Kiều Minh Hiếu shared that the production team used realistic and relatable details to recreate the lives and thoughts of the firefighters. The use of impactful sound effects, lighting, stage design, and the inclusion of real fire scenes significantly contributed to the play’s success, providing a truly immersive experience for viewers.

Ms. Trần Hồng Hạnh (56, Hoàn Kiếm District, Hanoi) shared that she wept witnessing the hardships and sacrifices of the firefighters. She expressed deep gratitude to the Vietnam National Theatre artists for portraying this touching story so authentically.
