Journalist Piers Morgan has recently revealed several excerpts from his interview with C.Ronaldo. In these excerpts, the Portuguese superstar made many shocking statements.

When asked about Messi’s 2022 World Cup victory with the Argentine national team, C.Ronaldo did not consider it a measure of greatness. The number 7 superstar emphasized: “If you ask me if my dream is to win the World Cup, I will say no. That’s not my dream. A tournament of only 6-7 matches cannot define who is the greatest player in history.
Let’s look at how many times Argentina won the World Cup before Messi. Twice, right? So, this (Messi winning the 2022 World Cup) is normal. These countries are used to winning major tournaments.”
This issue was raised by reporters to Messi at the America Business Forum event held in Florida. The Argentine superstar responded: “The truth is that the feeling of lifting the World Cup trophy is very difficult to describe. It’s hard to put into words what that title means to me, to my family, to my teammates, and to the entire country of Argentina.
Everyone saw how Argentine fans celebrated to understand how much we longed for it. We had been waiting for that title for a long time.

For me, it was a special moment. In a player’s life, winning the World Cup is the ultimate achievement, just like anyone reaching the peak of their profession. After winning the World Cup, there’s nothing more to ask for.
I was fortunate to have already won every club and individual title before. The Argentine national team also won the Copa America. Therefore, the World Cup title was the missing piece. It made my career more complete.”
C.Ronaldo will have one last chance to conquer the World Cup in 2026. Similarly, that will also be Messi’s last major tournament of his career.
