Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Deep Discount Before Official Release

In previous years, pre-order programs typically lasted for one week. This year, the pre-order period for the Galaxy S25 has been extended to over two weeks.

According to a reporter from Dân trí, retailers have continuously adjusted their sales policies and promotions in recent days.

Initially, all Galaxy S25 products were offered with a direct price reduction of 2 million VND. After the first week, this discount was increased to 3 million VND at many retailers.

Closer to the release date, some retailers like FPT Shop and Hoàng Hà Mobile further reduced prices by an additional 1 million VND, bringing the total discount to 4 million VND for various Galaxy S25 models.

“The continuous changes in discounts for the Galaxy S25 are primarily driven by retailers’ efforts to boost customer interest and maintain pre-orders until the official release date,” shared Mr. Nguyễn Lạc Huy, representative of the CellphoneS system. “These adjustments can be due to competition among retailers or their own business strategies. If market demand is lower than expected, retailers may reduce prices to ensure sales volumes.”

Currently, users in Vietnam can purchase the Galaxy S25 Ultra for around 30 million VND, 4 million VND less than Samsung’s official price. The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are priced at 19 million VND and 22 million VND, respectively.

Moreover, customers can also receive various gifts and additional benefits depending on each retailer’s policy. Some users have even reported purchasing the Galaxy S25 Ultra for as low as 25.5 million VND on e-commerce platforms.

In recent years, Samsung has adjusted its sales strategy in Vietnam. Instead of offering free accessories like earphones, watches, or speakers, the company now provides direct price reductions for pre-orders. This approach helps stabilize the market and minimize price discrepancies between retailers.

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Giàu, representative of Di Động Mỹ, explained that Samsung has long used a pricing strategy for premium products, setting high initial prices to create an impression of exclusivity and compete with Apple. However, this strategy doesn’t always work effectively. Once the initial pricing period ends, retailers can adjust prices based on market conditions.

This can lead to concerns for early buyers who may see their devices depreciate significantly within a short period. For example, the Galaxy S24 Ultra lost nearly 10 million VND in value just one year after its launch.

As of February 6th, the two largest retailers in Vietnam, Thế Giới Di Động and FPT Shop, reported receiving over 2,100 and 2,500 pre-orders, respectively, after two weeks of the Galaxy S25 pre-order program.

This number is notably lower compared to the same period last year. The Galaxy S24 pre-order program lasted only one week but still managed to secure 4,000 and 3,000 orders from Thế Giới Di Động and FPT Shop, respectively.
