However, rumors have surfaced in online forums over the past couple of days that tickets for Son Tung’s concert are in high demand due to ticket scalping.
Many ticket resellers are drastically lowering prices compared to the original cost, offering discounts of 20-50%, or even buy-one-get-one deals.
Some fans believe the organizers are unfairly treating ticket buyers by offering 10% discounts to distributors. After purchasing, these distributors then resell tickets at up to 25% off to individual fans, creating confusion in the market.
In an interview with Dân trí, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Đức, Head of the Sky Wave Hạ Long concert, clarified that the team has control over the tickets and pricing.
Mr. Minh Đức stated that the organizers only officially distribute tickets to three major distributors at a 10% discount. Subsequent resale by smaller distributors may explain the reported price fluctuations on social media.
“As far as I know, there are still over 1,000 tickets available in the market, mostly from the third and fourth-tier distributors, not direct purchasers from the organizers,” he stated.
“We are constantly receiving feedback from the audience and will continue to help people find suitable tickets by recommending trusted distributors,” Mr. Minh Đức added.
The organizers have released around 10,000 tickets in 8 different categories, priced between 850,000 VND (lowest) and 3,800,000 VND (highest).
The Sky Wave Hạ Long concert has received permission from Quảng Ninh’s Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Son Tung M-TP is expected to perform approximately 10 songs.
The organizer representative explained that this project has been in development for three years. This year, they invited Son Tung M-TP. Next year, they plan to have Hà Anh Tuấn perform.
