A popular coffee shop, Super Chill Coffee, located in Đăk Rve town, Kon Rẫy district, Kon Tum province, has been temporarily shut down following an incident of abusive language and threats against a customer. The incident, documented and shared on social media, has sparked public outrage.

Customer Abuse Incident

According to the Kon Rẫy District People’s Committee, on March 7th, authorities inspected Super Chill Coffee for operating illegally on agricultural land and lacking proper land documentation. On the same day, a heated argument between the coffee shop owner and a taxi driver attracted significant attention.

Viral video footage shows the taxi driver inquiring about the price of a coffee. The shop owner responded with aggressive language, verbal abuse, and threats. The owner reportedly pursued the driver, creating a dangerous situation. The incident quickly gained public attention and generated significant outrage.

Illegal Construction and Violations

Beyond the customer abuse, Super Chill Coffee was also found to have violated construction regulations and illegally connected to National Highway 24. The Kon Rẫy District People’s Committee ordered the demolition of the unauthorized additions and the cessation of all illegal activities on agricultural land.

The authorities cleared the road access to the shop, which adjoined National Highway 24, to ensure safety and security for all.

Consequences and Action Plan

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Thủy, Deputy Chairman of the Kon Rẫy District People’s Committee, stated that the coffee shop has been ordered to cease operations. The District will impose penalties for the illegal construction and mandate its removal, restoring the original state. Meanwhile, the Đăk Rve Town Police are investigating the owner, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Đạt, for the verbal abuse and assault of the customer.
