Thousands Brave Cold to Watch Lạng Sơn Peach Festival Opening

On February 7th, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Lang Son Peach Festival took place in Lang Son City, Lang Son Province.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son Province, praised the festival as a distinctive annual cultural and tourism event that honors the beauty of peach blossoms and promotes the province’s tourism potential and unique cultural heritage.

According to Mr. Huyen, the festival runs from mid-January to late February and includes tours that offer visitors experiences exploring Lang Son’s natural beauty, cultural identity, and people.

“Lang Son is known as the land of peaches with many rare and beautiful varieties. The peach blossoms of Lang Son have become a source of pride for the ethnic communities of Lang Son, symbolizing resilience, longevity, unity, and aspiration,” Mr. Huyen stated.

Reporters from Dan Tri noted that on February 7th, temperatures in Lang Son were around 9-10°C, making it bitterly cold. However, thousands of people gathered at the venue to watch the special artistic performances and a 10-minute fireworks display.

The 2025 Lang Son Peach Festival coincides with celebrations marking the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon), and leading up to the 18th Provincial Party Congress of Lang Son Province (2025-2030) and the National Party Congress (2026-2031).

In addition, the event created a cultural-tourism space with highlights that blend traditional elements with modern features, attracting both domestic and international tourists.

The 2025 Lang Son Peach Festival also helps promote the image of the region, its people, cultural beauty, and tourism potential to visitors, thereby fostering cultural, tourism, investment, and trade exchanges between Lang Son and other provinces and cities within Vietnam and internationally.
