Toyota: Pioneering Traffic Safety Education
Toyota Vietnam has established itself as a leader in traffic safety education through its “Toyota with Me Learning Traffic Safety” program. After 20 years of implementation, the program has made significant positive contributions, helping to build a culture of safe traffic for future generations.
In 2024, the program expanded to eight provinces and cities including Lam Dong, Tuyen Quang, Phu Yen, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh, Cao Bang, Vung Tau, and Can Tho. A variety of activities such as knowledge exploration, painting, skill practice, and professional seminars have attracted enthusiastic participation from thousands of students and teachers.
Notable Achievements
The program goes beyond just imparting knowledge, creating dynamic environments that help students easily apply what they learn in real-life situations. Nguyen The Bao, a student from Le Van Tam Elementary School in Hoa Binh, shared: “The contest provided me with many valuable experiences, helping me understand better how to safely participate in traffic and feel more confident when on the road.”
Additionally, the program focuses on enhancing the capabilities of teachers through seminars on innovative teaching methods. Ms. Nong Thi Huong, Specialist at the Department of Early Childhood and Primary Education, Cao Bang Department of Education and Training, commented: “This activity helps form the habit of following traffic laws from a young age, laying a solid foundation for the future.”
Towards a Sustainable Future
With the motto “Learn while playing, play while learning,” the national exchange event scheduled for March 2025 will offer top teams from the eight provinces and cities a chance to showcase their abilities. The program also aligns closely with Decree 151/2024/ND-CP on traffic safety legal education in schools.
Beyond traffic safety, Toyota Vietnam actively contributes to other social activities such as environmental protection, education development, and cultural promotion. By the end of 2024, the company’s total funding for community activities exceeded $31 million.
