On February 9, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City (PC08) suspended a traffic police officer from the Tan Tuc Police Station in Binh Chanh district for violating proper conduct with a traffic violator on February 7 evening.
According to PC08, social media users recently shared a video showing a traffic police officer at the Tan Tuc Police Station using inappropriate language with a violator. Upon receiving this information, the leadership of PC08 requested relevant officers and units involved to submit detailed reports.
Traffic Police Yelling at a Female Violator in Ho Chi Minh City
The report states that around 6:30 PM on February 7, a patrol team from the Tan Tuc Police Station conducted a breathalyzer test at Nguyen Van Linh Roundabout in Binh Chanh district. The team noticed a female motorcyclist riding on Le Kha Phieu Street (heading towards Long An).
This individual entered a restricted area at Nguyen Van Linh Roundabout, prompting the officers to stop her vehicle for inspection. During the process, the violator was uncooperative and used her phone to record the interaction and call others, causing frustration among the officers.
Due to a lack of emotional control, the traffic police officer used inappropriate language as seen in the video. Consequently, the leadership of PC08 decided to suspend the officer from duty to investigate the matter and take appropriate action according to regulations.
Previously, social media users shared a video showing the traffic police officer repeatedly yelling and using informal terms like “you” and “me” with the calm female violator who was asking to make a phone call to borrow money.
In the video, the traffic police officer shouted loudly: “Are you deaf? Are you deaf or what? Insert the key, do you understand Vietnamese? What did I tell you, got it? You’re calling? Are you messing with me?” After the exchange, the officer took the girl’s motorcycle keys and left.
