On February 2, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) under the Ministry of Public Security took timely action to save a 3-year-old child in critical condition. The incident occurred around 4:52 PM on the Hanoi – Lao Cai Expressway, when a car stopped on the side of the road and a woman stepped out looking anxious and frantic.
The woman explained that her 3-year-old daughter was suffering from a high fever accompanied by convulsions. She feared that if her child was not taken to the hospital in time, her condition would become dangerous. However, the traffic congestion prevented her from moving quickly.
Recognizing the emergency, the traffic police task force reported to the team leader and received instructions to use a special vehicle to rush the child to the hospital. Major Le Tung Lam and Major Pham Viet Truong, two officers from the task force, quickly drove the special vehicle to Binh Xuyen District Medical Center in Vinh Phuc Province.
Thanks to the timely assistance of the traffic police, the child received emergency care and her health gradually stabilized. The mother, Ms. Truong Thi Thanh Thuy (29 years old, residing in Gia Lam, Hanoi), expressed deep gratitude to the traffic police officers for their quick and decisive action.
This incident once again reaffirms the responsibility and dedication of the traffic police force in protecting the safety and health of the people. It also serves as a lesson in timely response to emergency situations, especially on expressways.
