A heartbreaking road accident claimed the lives of a mother and her child on Hoang Cam Road in Thu Duc City on the evening of April 10th. The incident caused widespread public concern and significant traffic congestion.
The accident occurred around 7:30 PM on April 10th at the intersection of Hoang Cam Road (the former National Road 1K) and Street 5, Linh Xuan Ward, Thu Duc City. A truck with license plate 61H-018.xx, traveling towards the Linh Xuân overpass to Bình Dương, collided with a motorbike with a Ca Mau license plate driven by a woman and carrying a boy.
The impact resulted in the two motorcyclists being struck by the truck’s wheels, both fatally. The boy’s body was found behind the truck, and the woman’s body was under the truck; the motorbike was also trapped beneath the vehicle.
The incident caused severe traffic delays on the road. Ho Chi Minh City police and the Bình Triệu Traffic Police team (PC08 of Ho Chi Minh City Police) arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
Local residents reported that the victims were a mother and child living near the area. Police are actively identifying the victims and contacting their families.
