On February 13, in Hanoi, The Sports and Culture Newspaper officially announced the Dedication Awards 2025, with nominations across two systems: the Music Dedication Awards and the Sports Dedication Awards.
The award ceremony is scheduled for the evening of March 5 at the Hanoi Opera House. Musician Dương Cầm will serve as the music director for the event.
The organizers have opened a public voting portal from now until February 28, combining audience votes with ballots from journalists to determine the winners.
According to the released list, Tùng Dương leads with four nominations. In addition to competing for Male Singer of the Year, he is also nominated for Album of the Year with Multiverse, Live Show of the Year with The Man Who Sings, and Song of the Year with Rebirth.
SOOBIN follows closely with three nominations: Male Singer of the Year, Album of the Year with Turn It Up, and Music Video of the Year with If Only.
Sơn Tùng M-TP has been nominated in the categories of Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Singer of the Year.
Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai and Anh Trai Say Hi are also nominated in the Series of the Year category, alongside programs such as HOZO International Music Festival, Crossroads of Time, and Our Song Vietnam.
The Female Singer of the Year category features Hồng Nhung, Trang Pháp, Uyên Linh, Orange, and Phương Mỹ Chi.
In the Sports Dedication Awards, footballer Nguyễn Xuân Sơn stands out in the Athlete of the Year category thanks to his impressive performances with the national team. Competing against Xuân Sơn are female shooter Trịnh Thu Vinh and para-powerlifter Lê Văn Công.
This year’s edition marks the 20th anniversary of the Dedication Awards. At this milestone, the 2025 Dedication Awards have expanded into Asia through a strategic partnership with Japan’s Music Awards.
Mr. Lê Xuân Thành, Editor-in-Chief of The Sports and Culture Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, stated: “Marking 20 years of formation and development, starting this year, the Dedication Awards aim to expand into Asia through a strategic collaboration with Japan’s Music Awards.
Through this partnership, Vietnamese artists will have the opportunity to be honored on an Asian platform, further integrating Vietnamese popular music with major trends in the region.”
The Japan Music Awards ceremony will take place on May 21-22 at the ROHM Theatre in Kyoto, featuring six main categories to honor outstanding works in the region, along with 60 subcategories.
