U17 Vietnam Dominates Singapore: Southeast Asian Fan Reactions

Phản ứng của CĐV Đông Nam Á khi U17 Việt Nam thắng đậm Singapore

“Congratulations to U17 Vietnam. A truly wonderful performance,” a Singaporean fan commented on the Asean Football page, acknowledging U17 Vietnam’s convincing victory over U17 Singapore. This came after witnessing coach Cristiano Roland’s team defeat their opponent with a “tennis score” in their opening match of the U17 Asian Qualifiers 2026 at PVF Stadium (Hung Yen) on the evening of November 22.

Just 4 minutes into the game, U17 Vietnam opened the scoring from a penalty kick by young player Le Trong Dai Nhan. Before the first half ended, U17 Vietnam was already leading 3-0. The other two goals for U17 Vietnam in the first half were scored by Le Sy Bach in the 25th minute and Nguyen Minh Thuy in the 38th minute.

In the second half, U17 Vietnam continued to press and scored 3 more goals: a decisive finish inside the box by Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc in the 64th minute, followed by a brace from Manh Quan in the 68th and 89th minutes.

U17 Vietnam’s victory was praised by many Southeast Asian fans, as the young players not only delivered a “rain of goals” against their opponents but also displayed an aggressive, beautiful, and confident style of play.

“Singapore’s youth squad is not strong enough; fortunately, their national team has qualified for the 2027 Asian Cup finals. Congratulations to Vietnam for having such a promising youth generation,” commented Hare Zam Haree from Indonesia.

“I’m a bit disappointed with U17 Singapore’s opening match. They couldn’t withstand the overwhelming attacking pressure from Vietnam,” remarked Htain Linn Kyaw-Pro.

“I’m not too surprised by this victory. The U17 Vietnam team is led by an experienced coach, Cristiano Roland, and has been systematically developed, not just a quick fix,” emphasized fan Huy Tran from Vietnam.

Notably, despite their big win over U17 Singapore, U17 Vietnam temporarily ranked second in Group C, as U17 Malaysia also defeated the Northern Mariana Islands with a score of 13-0.

“A 13-0 score doesn’t really say much when the Northern Mariana Islands are too weak. U17 Malaysia will have to prove their strength when they face U17 Vietnam, and that will be the decisive match for a spot in the U17 Asian Qualifiers 2026 finals,” stated Tjatoer Stephen Avilles from Malaysia.

In their next match, U17 Vietnam will play against the Northern Mariana Islands at 7 PM on November 24.
