The “Union Train – Tet 2025” program has brought joy and warmth to thousands of struggling workers, helping them fulfill their dream of reuniting with their families during the traditional Tet holiday.
Practical Support for Workers
In collaboration with the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized this meaningful event, transporting 110 workers and their families back to their homes in central and northern provinces to celebrate Tet. This is part of a plan to provide 2,000 train tickets for union members in difficult circumstances across the country.
Before boarding train TN4, the workers were greeted and given Tet gifts and lucky money by leaders from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the provincial authorities. Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, Nguyen Thi Hoang, and Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Phan Van Anh, personally handed out the gifts and wished the workers a happy Tet.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen from Bien Hoa Industrial Zone shared: “My husband and I came from the north to establish ourselves in Dong Nai. Our income barely covers our living expenses and children’s education. Reuniting with family for Tet is a luxury. We are very happy to receive round-trip train tickets this year.”
Mr. Le Van Luan, 43 years old from Long Thanh District, expressed: “Reuniting with my family of four in Thanh Hoa is the greatest happiness. After many years of working away from home, this is the first time we can all return home for Tet together.”

Phan Van Anh noted that, in addition to train tickets, labor unions also organized various forms of support such as bus and airplane tickets to ensure safe travel. The program not only supports workers but also includes tickets for their families, facilitating family reunions.
The Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation also organized its own “Family Reunion – Tet 2025” train, transporting 1,000 struggling workers home. Additionally, the General Confederation arranged flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi for workers.
