Vietnam National Team Kicks Off Asian Cup Qualifiers in Binh Duong Stadium

Đội tuyển Việt Nam đá trận mở màn vòng loại Asian Cup trên sân Bình Dương

This evening (January 17), the VFF officially announced that the Vietnam National Team will play their opening match for the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers at Binh Duong Stadium. This trend is common among national teams worldwide, aiming to provide fans across the country with opportunities to watch their team compete.

Choosing Binh Duong Stadium not only satisfies the passion of football fans in the southern region but also facilitates ticket sales. New locations, where the team rarely has the chance to play before, always attract significant interest from fans.

Binh Duong Stadium – The Ideal Venue for an Important Match

After the Vietnam National Team played at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) during the 2024 AFF Cup, this “Southern tour” allows southern fans to fulfill their passion for football. In the southern region, Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) is currently under renovation, and Can Tho Stadium does not frequently host V-League matches. Therefore, Binh Duong Stadium is the most suitable choice.

Binh Duong Stadium not only boasts excellent facilities and a capacity of over 20,000 seats but is also the home ground for national players Nguyen Tien Linh and Bui Vi Hao, who play for Binh Duong FC. This will further attract fans when the team faces Laos.

Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers – An Opportunity to Assert Their Position

The third round of Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers will take place from February 25, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The Vietnam National Team is in Group F alongside Laos, Nepal, and Malaysia. The top team from the third round qualifiers will secure a spot in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia.

Selecting Binh Duong Stadium as the venue for the opening match is not only a logical decision but also an opportunity for the Vietnam National Team to continue asserting their position on the international stage. Fans expect an impressive performance and victory against Laos.
