The Ministry of Public Security, in partnership with the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, held a ceremony on February 25th to hand over funding and initiate a program to demolish temporary and dilapidated houses. The program’s total budget of 231 billion VND is a significant contribution to improving the living conditions of local residents.
National Police Contribution
The 231 billion VND fund is generated by voluntary contributions from police officers nationwide. This highlights the spirit of unity and mutual support within the community. The funds will support the reconstruction or repair of houses for families facing hardship, significantly improving their living conditions and quality of life.
Gia Lai Province’s Active Participation
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, Rah Lan Chung, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Public Security. He also informed that the province had identified 8,485 eligible families for the program. These include families with revolutionary contributions, poor families, and near-poor families, all carefully assessed according to regulations.
So far, Gia Lai Province has initiated the construction or repair of 993 houses, with 142 already completed. The province aims to demolish 8,485 temporary or dilapidated homes during the second quarter of 2025. This reflects the province’s commitment to improving the lives of its residents.
Effective Implementation and Commitment
Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Phạm Thế Tùng, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to completing the program. He also requested the Gia Lai Provincial Police force to continue their efforts to ensure the program is executed quickly and efficiently.
Police officers in Gia Lai Province have actively started construction or repair of 434 houses and completed two model houses, contributing to the province’s goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated homes.
Significant Support for the Community
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Phạm Thế Tùng and Gia Lai provincial leaders symbolically handed over house keys to 10 families in Mang Yang district and presented gifts from General Lương Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security. These actions demonstrate the government’s and law enforcement agencies’ dedication to improving the lives of the people.
