The Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, has issued a disciplinary warning to Nguyen Xuan Dong, the former chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee, via Decision 381. This action follows previous disciplinary measures against Mr. Dong.
At the 49th session held on October 28th and 29th, 2024, the Central Commission for Internal Affairs reviewed reports and proposed disciplinary action against several party members in Ha Nam Province for misconduct.
Nguyen Xuan Dong, former chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, receives a disciplinary warning for violations in investment project management.
The Central Commission’s findings indicate that, during his tenure as Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dong violated party regulations, national laws, and operational procedures in managing and directing several investment projects. Specifically, he exhibited misconduct in performing his duties, violated principles expected of party members, and failed to uphold exemplary conduct.
Mr. Dong’s violations are considered serious, negatively impacting public opinion and undermining the reputation of the local party and government. These violations warranted disciplinary action.
Consequently, the Central Commission for Internal Affairs decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Dong. This decision reflects the Party and State’s commitment to addressing misconduct among officials and reinforcing discipline, order, and public trust. The disciplinary action against Mr. Dong serves as a warning to other officials and party members to adhere to the law, maintain ethical conduct, and uphold their responsibilities.
