Hendrio, a Brazilian player recently released from Nam Định, is a hot commodity in the V-League transfer market. His technical skills and tactical awareness are highly regarded, and he’s already familiar with the Vietnamese football environment.

Hendrio’s future remains uncertain, with no club yet emerging as the clear frontrunner. However, his presence at Port FC (Thailand) has sparked speculation about a potential move to Thailand. It’s worth noting that Madam Pang, a powerful figure in Thai football, was previously the owner of Port FC.

Madam Pang’s recent appointment as President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has required her to relinquish her ownership of Port FC. This is due to regulations preventing the head of Thai football from owning a club in the Thai league, ensuring fair play.

Having resided in Vietnam for four years, Hendrio will be eligible for Vietnamese citizenship next year. A move to Thailand could potentially interrupt this process.

Hendrio has publicly expressed his desire to play for the Vietnamese national team, citing his friendship with successful Vietnamese player Xuân Sơn. He has even made efforts to learn Vietnamese, further demonstrating his commitment to integrating into Vietnamese society.

For these reasons, many believe that the Barcelona-trained player will continue his career in Vietnam.
