According to a Vietnam News Agency (TTXVN) reporter, a grand welcoming ceremony was held at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta for General Secretary Tô Lâm and his wife. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto presided over the ceremony, welcoming General Secretary Tô Lâm and his wife Ngô Phương Ly, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation.
At 4:45 PM, the Vietnamese delegation was greeted by a solemn ceremony with security personnel, a military band, and children holding flags of both nations. President Prabowo Subianto personally greeted and welcomed General Secretary Tô Lâm.
Important Talks and Discussions
Following the welcome ceremony, General Secretary Tô Lâm and President Prabowo Subianto held significant bilateral talks. The two leaders also held a private meeting for in-depth discussions on bilateral cooperation.
During the talks, General Secretary Tô Lâm signed the guest book at the Presidential Palace, expressing his pleasure at the visit and his confidence in the sustainable development of Vietnam-Indonesia relations. He also hoped that both countries would continue to play a significant role in ASEAN for regional peace and stability.
Subsequent Activities
According to the schedule, following the talks, the two leaders will witness the exchange of cooperation documents and hold a press conference. President Prabowo Subianto will also host a formal dinner for General Secretary Tô Lâm and his wife.
